President Torino Urbano Cairo noted that the Chelsea proposal for David Dzappakosta was too good to be rejected.
Last summer, Torino managed to keep forward Andrea Belotti, in the signing of which many top clubs were interested, but Marco Benassi and David Dzappakosta left the club after moving to Fiorentina and Chelsea respectively.
"I've never been afraid to lose Belotti. I decided that he will leave only if someone is willing to pay for him the amount of compensation in the amount of 100 million euros, "said Cairo.
"No one came close to this amount, so I was calm. This season he will spend with us, and so we'll see.
We managed to keep him, Adem Lyaich, Iago Falke, as well as Daniele Bazelli, Antonio Barrek, Afrique Aqua and, of course, Joel Obi, for which we received many proposals ".
"Although reluctant, but we had to part with Marco Benassi and David Dzappakosta. The offer of Chelsea was too good to be rejected. As for Benassi, it was a matter of the tactical system and what better suited the player himself ".
According to the Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino raised from the sale of Dzaspakosty 28 million euros, and two million euros "garnet" can receive as bonuses.
