The English media found out why midfielder Ross Barkley refused to sign a contract with the "blue".
Barkley could become another newcomer to Chelsea in the current offseason, moving to the camp of Londoners before the closing of the transfer window.
"Blue" has already agreed with Everton and with Ross himself all the details of the deal, however, in the end, the contract was never signed, as the footballer himself refused to change the club.
According to the BBC, the reason for this decision was Ross's knee injury, from which the midfielder will recover for another 3 months.
"Everything is very simple. Barkley prefers to make decisions about his future when he will be completely in shape, and not come to a new club with an injury, "- said a source close to the football player.
It was expected that Chelsea will pay for Barkley about 40 million pounds.
