The home team opened the account in the ninth minute of the game, when Uldrikis took advantage of a mistake at the gates of Bezruk. To compare the score "yellow-blue" was already at the 22nd minute of the game thanks to the goal of midfielder Bogdan Lednev.

The Ukrainians had a few more chances to excel, but the Latvians saved either the goalkeeper, or the bar, which hit the ball after hitting Valery Lukchevich.
