Striker Inter Gabriel Barbosa season 2016-2017 will hold in the championship of Portugal.

The Brazilian striker moved to Inter Milan last summer for 29.5 million euros. Since then, he never appeared in the starting lineup of Nerazzurri in Serie A, scoring only 1 goal in 9 fights in which he took part.

In the current transfer window Milanese are planning to send Barbosa in rent so that the player has gained experience in European football and could become useful for "Nerazzurri" in the future.

Gabriel himself wished to go to Portugal, where he did not have to learn a new language. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, despite the interest from the local Porto and Sporting, Barbosa decided to move to Benfica.

According to the publication, the player will sign a lease for one year without the right to a subsequent redemption.
