Marathon of the group stage of the Europa League Dynamo will start a home match against Shkenderbou.
In 1925, Shkenderbou was founded by students of the Albanian National Lyceum and received its name in honor of the national hero of Albania of the 15th century Shkanderbeg. In the first year the team entered the leading roles in the city, and soon debuted in the international arena, playing two friendly matches with the Macedonian Monastir (5: 2 and 2: 2).
Shkenderbou won the championship of Albania seven times (1933, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016), five times became the owner of the National Cup (1958, 1965, 1976, 2012, 2017) and twice - the Super Cup of Albania (2013, 2014).
"Snow Wolves" for the sixth time take part in the European Cup tournaments. The debut took place in the second qualifying round of the Champions League in 2011 and ended in a devastating defeat of the Albanians on the sum of two matches from the Cyprian APOEL - 0: 2 and 0: 4. Shkenderbou achieved the greatest success in the season-2015/2016, when he lost in the play-off round of the Champions League, played in the group stage of the Europa League, taking, of course, the last place in the company Besiktas, Lisbon Sporting and Lokomotiv M.
Once Shkenderbou had occasion to compete in the official tournament with a representative of Ukraine. In the playoff round LES-2013/2014 "wolves" met with Chernomorets, and, having exchanged victories with the same score 1: 0, lost to "seamen" in the penalty shoot-out - 6: 7.
In the current season, Shkenderbou started his European competition with the first round of qualification, successively defeating Sant Juliu (Andorra) - 1: 0 and 5: 0, Kairat (Kazakhstan) - 2: 0 and 1: 1, Mladu Boleslav (Czech Republic) - 2 : 1, 1: 2 and 4: 2 in the penalty shootout, and Dynamo from Zagreb - 0: 0 and 1: 1, due to an extra visiting goal.
Starting in the group tournament on September 14 with a duel against Dynamo in Kiev, Shkenderbau will take Kiev in the fifth round on November 23 at the Elbasan Arena, which seats 12,342 spectators.
