Olivier Giroux, who scored the winning goal in the goal of Leicester, confirmed that he will remain in the Arsenal.

The future of Giroux was in question after the acquisition of Alexander Lacazette, and the services of Olivier were interested in both English and foreign clubs.

However, after the first match of the new season against Leicester, Giroux stated that he would not leave Arsenal.

"I'll stay in the Arsenal," Giroux said laconically in an interview with SFR Sport.

This was confirmed by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who said: "I like him as a person and as a player. He's a fantastic guy - a devotee, he loves the club ".

"He does not want to leave and I'm glad he wants to stay".

In the last season, Giroux left in the starting lineup only in 11 Premier League matches, and 18 more times appeared on the replacement. In these matches, the striker scored 12 goals and gave three assists.
