On the night of 4 to 5 August, robbers entered the house of Paye while he slept and managed to carry some ornaments, reports Le Monde. Presumably, the door of the house was not locked.

The amount of damage is unknown. Some sources in the police claim that it is about "several tens of thousands of euros", while others give a figure of 110 thousand in the same currency. Dimitri himself on Twitter reported that it was only a small robbery.

Paye, who moved to Marseille this winter, was not the first Olympic player to suffer from the robbery. Previously, cybercriminals took advantage of Lassana Diarra (2016), Karim Rekik (2015), Mario Lemina (2014), Andre-Pierre Gignac (2014), Iltona (2011; 4 years later, 5 robbers received 11 to 15 years in prison), Andre And Giordana Ayu (brothers suffered twice in 2010 and 2011), Lucho Gonzalez (2011), Fabrice Abriel (2010), Stefan Mbia (2010), Jibril Cisse (2006) and Mamadou Niang (2006).
