Inter and Chelsea, along with Bavaria, were in the Singapore group of the International Champions Cup.

According to the rules of the tournament, for the victory in the regular time of the match the team receives three chocks, a 2 penalty win, and one point after the defeat in the penalty shootout.

In the first match, Chelsea lost to Bayern (2: 3), in the second Inter was stronger than the Munich (2-0).

Before the last decisive match, Chelsea needed to win with a difference of two goals in order to become a champion, but the Italian club won, thus winning the title of champions of the Singapore group of the International Champions Cup.
