Before the start in the European Cups Alexandria held the second match in the championship of Ukraine. In the second round the rival of Alexandria was the newcomer of the UPL Veres.

"We expected a heavy fight, despite the fact that Veres is a newcomer to the Premier League, practically all the players performed at the highest level, because we knew that it would be difficult," - says Alexandria's head coach Vladimir Sharan.

"In the first half we had more possession of the ball. Knew that the opponent will play deep and compact, and close our flanks. I think that a draw is a natural result of the match with Veres, "added Sharan.

Note that the match ended in a goalless draw. After two rounds Alexandria has no goals and scored only one point.

The next Thursday, July 27, Alexandria match against the Romanian Astra starts in the European League 2017/18.
