Ex-goalkeeper of England Paul Robinson retired

Paul Robinson announced his retirement from football at the age of 37.

The goalkeeper, who started his career in Leeds in 1998, and also played in Tottenham and Blackburn, 41 went on the field in the goalkeeping form of the England team. At the World Cup 2006 he was the main goalkeeper of the national team.

The last club of Robinson became Burnley, to which he joined in January 2016. Last season, he went three times on the field in the Premier League, remaining the reserve goalkeeper of the team.

In total, the goalkeeper has 498 matches at the club level. The cause of retirement from football was a back injury.

"My problem with the back came back at the end of last season and prevented me from being ready to start a new one," Robinson said..
