Portuguese Joel Pereira signed a new contract with the Red Devils.

A young goalkeeper who, in the opinion of Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho, should become the best Portuguese goalkeeper of the generation, prolonged the message with the club.

The goalkeeper will be at Old Trafford for the next four years, with the option to extend the agreement for another season. I am very happy to have renewed my contract with the biggest team in the world. ?????? #ManchesterUnited #RedDevil @ManUtd @premierleague pic. Twitter.

The 21-year-old gatekeeper will be the third goalkeeper in the club's rotation after David de Gea and Sergio Romero.

Note that Pereira debuted in the Premier League for Manchester United last season, when he went to the match against Crystal Palace on the last day of the season.

"Over the past season, Joel has developed very well through hard work and dedication in training," said Mourinho.
