Denmark initially did not have to go to the Euro, and eventually won the tournament - remember how it was.

25 years ago, on June 26, 1992, Denmark defeated Germany in the Euro-92 final. The victory of the Danes is one of the main surprises in the history of European championships.

It is noteworthy that initially the Danes did not have to go to this tournament at all, but Yugoslavia was excluded from participation. This was learned in Denmark just a few days before the start of the Euro, and the application was not included the leader of the team - Mikael Laudrup.

In the group with Sweden, France and England, the Danes managed to take one point in two matches. The decisive match with France ended in an unexpected victory and a way out of the group from second place.

Then followed the victory over the Netherlands in the penalty shootout and the final match with Germany, which ended in victory with a score of 2-0 and the only trophy in the history of the Danish national team.

We suggest remembering how it was:.
