Spanish defender Alvaro Arbeloa decided to end his career as a player.

The last season of the 34-year-old bek, held in West Ham, was unsuccessful for Alvaro. The Spaniard took part in only three Premier League matches, after which he decided that it was time to end his career as a football player.

A special club in the life of Arbeloa was Real Madrid, whose pupil Alvaro is.

For the main team of Blancos, he performed from 2009 to 2016, winning during this period the championship and Spain, the national cup, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup. In addition, Arbeloa three years (from 2006 to 2009), played for Liverpool.

Career Alvaro in the national team was no less successful. As part of Furies Roja footballer won Euro 2008 and Euro 2012, and also became world champion in 2010.

"Physically I'm in good shape to keep playing, but it's time to say goodbye," Arbeloa told Marca.
