Brandt refused to Liverpool for the sake of Bavaria

Bayer midfielder Julian Brandt is going to sign a contract with the champion of Germany.

In the current offseason, Liverpool is looking for a serious strengthening in the light of the upcoming performances of the team in the Champions League.

One of the players that the head coach of the team Jurgen Klopp wanted to get was Bayer's midfielder Julian Brandt. With the 21-year-old German, the Reds conducted lengthy negotiations, which in the end were unsuccessful.



As reported by the German portal TZ, Brandt decided to reject the proposal of Liverpool and sign a contract with Bavaria. Under the terms of the future agreement, Julian will join the Munich team at the beginning of the 2018-2019 season, and until then one more year will be held as part of the Leverkusen club.

Among other things, the player motivated his decision by wanting to continue his career in Germany.

In the season that ended, on Brandt's account 3 goals and 9 assists in 32 Bundesliga games.
