Ex-Real Madrid midfielder Angel Di Maria admitted his guilt in the tax evasion case when he was playing in Madrid.

The Spanish prosecutor's office accused Di Maria of tax evasion in the amount of 1.3 million euros in the period from 2012 to 2013. The midfielder used to sell his image rights company located in one of the offshore zones - thus, taxes on transactions did not go to the Spanish treasury.

According to AS, Di Maria confessed to the offenses and will pay 2 million euros in compensation. The Argentinian was charged with 2 charges and for each of them Angel should have served 8 months in prison. However, under Spanish law, under the first offense, up to 2 years can be replaced by a fine.

Also now investigations are being conducted against ex-coach Creamer Jose Mourinho and the team leader Cristiano Ronaldo. Representatives of Mourinho assured that the coach has already settled these inconsistencies, but Ronaldo denies any offense.
