UEFA reacted promptly to previously appeared information that the Republic of Belarus Leipzig may not be allowed to participate in the Champions League 2017/18.

The UEFA Club Financial Control Authority (OFCC) did not find violations of Article 5 (Fair competition), according to a statement on the official website of UEFA.

After a thorough investigation, as well as several important changes in leadership and structural changes in the clubs (on corporate issues, financing, staff, sponsorship agreements, and so on. ), The OFKC considered that no individual or legal entity is no longer decisive for more than one club participating in the UEFA club competition.

This decision may be appealed to the Sports Arbitration Court within ten days. The OFKK will continue to monitor both clubs to ensure compliance with the rules in the future.
