The English press unearthed not the most pleasant words of the defender of Juventus Dani Alves to his possible new club - Manchester City.

At the moment, the 34-year-old Bek is associated with the transition to Manchester City, where Alves will be able to reunite with his former coach Josep Guardiola.

However, the British media reminded the Brazilian that in 2014, before the face-to-face meeting between Barcelona and the Townspeople in the Champions League, he gave a not very flattering commentary on the club's history of the City.

"A few years ago I did not know that there are two teams in Manchester," Alves said..

"Naturally, Manchester United - one of the most famous and successful clubs in Europe. Nevertheless, I thought they were the only team in this city ".

"When Man City got new owners and started buying the best players from all over Europe, I found out who they are - but until then, I will be honest, I have not heard anything about them".

"I think these are the realities of modern football. If you have rich owners, you do not need dozens of years to declare yourself. It does not matter whether I like it or someone else - this is the situation today ".

Dani Alves has another year on contract with Juventus, but plans to change the team this summer.
