At the meeting of the Commission for the reorganization of the FFU, the format and schedule of the ULP Championship of the 2017/18 season was approved.

The official website of the UPL confirms that the format of the ULP Championship for the next season is as follows:.

- number of teams - 12;.

- Number of rounds - 32 plus playoff matches in Group 2;.

- total number of matches - 192 plus playoff matches in Group 2.

Also, the Commission approved the system of drawing of the Championship UPL-2017/18:.

- The championship is held in two stages;.

- Stage I: 2 rounds - 22 rounds - 132 matches;.

- Stage II: 2 rounds - 10 rounds - 30 matches in each Group plus playoff matches in Group 2;.

- according to the results of stage I two groups of 6 teams are formed;.

- Group 1: places from the 1st to the 6th, the ULP champion plus the teams that will take part in the Champions League and the UEFA Europa League will be determined;.

- Group 2: places from 7th to 12th, teams that leave the ULL are identified;.

- the team that took the 12th place, directly flies out of the ULL;.

- The team that took 11th place, plays two playoff matches with the team that took the second place in the championship of the First League, with the first playoff match being held on the field of the PFL team;.

- The team that took 10th place, plays two playoff matches with the team that took the 3rd place in the championship of the First League, with the first match of the playoffs being held on the field of the PFL team;.

- the points received in the stage I Championship are retained.
