Henrik Mkhitaryan, without whom Manchester United would hardly have won this season's League of Europe, was also appreciated in his homeland. The midfielder of the Red Devils and the national team of his country was awarded the Medal of Merit to Armenia of the first degree.

The state award to Henry was presented by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. A little later, Mkhitaryan will once again visit his homeland to get a sports award: the prize for the best football player of Armenia, who for him will be the seventh.

The Medal of Merit to Armenia is usually awarded to servicemen, and only as an exception, for special merits - civilians.
