Uruguayan defender Martin Caceres can continue performances in the Premier League.

Lester began negotiations on signing a contract with ex-defender of Barcelona and Juventus Martin Caceres, reports Leicester Mercury.

The 30-year-old became a free agent after he had a contract with Southampton. Uruguayans also claim Celtic and Watford.

Caceres moved to Southampton in February, concluding a short-term contract. The player did not impress the coaching staff with his uniform and only once left the starting lineup. Most of the time, Caceres spent on the bench.

In addition to Caceres, Southampton also parted with three more players.
