In Bavaria, the issue of acquiring the striker as a substitute for forward Robert Lewandowski was discussed.

Chairman of the Board of Munich Bayern Karl-Heinz Rummenigge commented on the advisability of buying a forward as a replacement for the Polish striker. Note that the German grand was very aware of the lack of Lewandowski, when the Pole, due to injury, was out of action before the match with Real Madrid in the Champions League.

"Lewandowski enters the field in 85-90% of all matches. Who can agree to go only in the remaining 10-15% of games? I understand these discussions.

The argument is that we must acquire a high-profile player who would cost a lot and had little practice in the game. It would be very difficult to stimulate such a player, "Rummenigge quotes Suddeutsche Zeitung.

Note that in the last season Lewandowski scored 52 goals. Of these - 43 in official matches of Bavaria and 8 goals in the qualifying tournament of the 2018 World Cup for the national team of Poland.
