Harry Monk left Leeds United two days after the announcement of the extension of the contract.

Ex-captain and coach Swansea Harry Monk before the beginning of the completed season 2016/17 accepted the offer to lead Leeds, with whom he stopped a step away from the playoff zone for getting into the Premier League.

Earlier we reported that Peacocks decided to extend the agreement with a specialist. On May 23, the parties allegedly entered into a new contract.

But a couple of days later the contract was terminated. Leeds through the official website reported the departure of the manager.

"I'm very disappointed that my time in Leeds has come to an end," comments Monk..

"I've always wanted to stay here, I've seen myself here for years to come".

"Unfortunately, we with the new owner could not find a common language and reach an agreement. But I'm sure that the foundation that we laid in the team will serve as an opportunity to return to the Premier League and I want to see Leeds there, "wrote Monk.

Italian Andrea Radrizzani has completed the purchase of the club this week. Earlier, the businessman owned a 50% stake in Leeds, which he acquired in January this year.
