Participants of the Chinese Super League will have to pay a tax equal to 100% of the cost of transfer of a foreign player, if the club is not profitable.

The Chinese Football Association has adopted a new rule, designed to limit the exorbitant expenditure of clubs on transfers of foreign players. Clubs will have to pay a tax - 100% of the cost of transfer of the signed legionary.

The funds will go to "the development of youth football, the support of football among the population and the improvement of projects related to this sport," notes the CFA.

The rule will only apply to unprofitable clubs, but at the moment all the members of the Chinese Super League are far from making profit, - reports wildeastfootball. Net. However, the financial well-being of Chinese clubs is a rather complicated question and it is not yet clear how it will be evaluated.

The Chinese government is displeased with the incredible amounts that Super League members spent on football stars over the past 18 months. At the beginning of this year, a doctrine was adopted to limit "reckless spending". There are suggestions that these transfers are used to withdraw money from China, because in the country there are very strict restrictions on the amount of money that can be derived from it.

Clubs ignored this doctrine, because the winter transfer window became a record in the history of the Super League. The next transfer window will open in China on June 19 and will last until July 14.

Also, the Chinese Football Association has introduced one more rule, according to which clubs from 2018 will have to involve in the same game as many players of the youth team as the legionaries. It does not specify when exactly these young people should go out on the field and how long to spend on it. In the current campaign, clubs must release at least 1 young football player to the field, but often these players are changed even before the 15th minute of the match.
