Ernesto Valverde denied rumors that he had already agreed to become the next coach of Barcelona.
Ernesto Valverde, who leaves the post of head coach of Athletic Bilbao, said that he has not yet entered into negotiations with other clubs.
"I did not coordinate anything with other clubs and did not even enter into negotiations with anyone," Valverde said at a press conference.
"Can I go on a year's vacation? Why not? After all, I can do whatever I want".
Earlier this week, the newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that Valverde had already agreed a two-year contract with Barcelona with the option of extension for the third year.
