The parade in honor of the victory of Chelsea in the Premier League will not take place because of the terrorist attack at the concert of Ariana Grande in Manchester.

Chelsea planned to hold the championship parade on Sunday, May 28 - the day after the FA Cup final against Arsenal. However, the celebrations were canceled because of the terrorist attack that took place in Manchester on the night of May 23 at the concert of Ariana Grande. The tragedy claimed the lives of 22 people and 64 others were injured.

Instead of Sunday celebrations, Chelsea will come out with black armbands on their sleeves for a game with Arsenal.

"Everyone who associates himself with Chelsea, expresses heartfelt condolences to those who suffered during the terrorist attack in Manchester. Mentally support the victims, their families and friends, "- says the statement of the club.

"In light of such tragic events, it would be inappropriate to hold a parade in London on Sunday.

Given the increased level of danger and realizing that it can increase, we carefully thought everything over and came to this decision. We are sure, our fans will take it with understanding ".

"As a sign of respect, our players will reach the FA Cup final with black armbands. Also, Chelsea FC will make a donation to the fund to help those affected by this terrible attack ".

It is worth noting that Arsenal canceled the video broadcast of the match at the Emirates Stadium, as well as a potential parade in honor of the victory in the Cup.
