Defender of Fenerbahce Gregory van der Ville spoke about how he became a victim of a fraudulent scheme.

The Dutch defender spoke about how he lost millions of dollars after moving to the Turkish championship. The player became a victim of business scammers who managed to "earn" 4.5 million dollars because of the gullibility of the Dutchman.

Alleged businessman Umit Akbulut turned to van der Wiel with a proposal to participate in the scheme for making money. To this end, the player has invested 4.5 million in various companies and is still waiting for the return of his investments.

"A month after arriving in Turkey, I met with Umit Akbulut, a businessman. He offered me a deal and I believed him. He wanted to earn money for us for four months, "- said van der Ville.

Subsequently, Akbulut was arrested for trading fraud. The criminal stated that van der Wiel did not comply with the agreement.
