Ex-goalkeeper Dynamo Alexander Shovkovsky shared his memories of Valeria Lobanovsky.

Shovkovsky remembered how Dynamo survived the death of Valery Lobanovsky and what effect the mentor had on the Kiev club.

"All the biggest, most famous victories and trophies inscribed in the history of Dynamo are mainly connected with Valery Lobanovsky. I think it's a person who will go with Dynamo in life always. To my great regret and disappointment of all the fans, we have to talk about this in the past ".

"How did I find out about his death? I was at that moment on the football field. Then the whole team was in a very depressed, semi-depressive state, waiting for news. Followed the development of events, will doctors manage to get him out of that state. For all of us, it was a huge shock, after which we could not recover for a long time, "recalls Shovkovsky.

"The very fact that our club is 90 years old, already shows that it has a great history, formed and held. This is the most successful club in the post-Soviet space.

Dynamo team won more medals in the Soviet Union Championship, twice won the Cup Winners' Cup and the UEFA Super Cup. In a word, the history of the club speaks for itself ".

"It is unlikely that in the coaching career I can be called a student of Lobanovsky, a follower - especially. But one thing I can say for sure: if I still follow in Lobanovsky's footsteps, I will introduce a lot of his ideas and thoughts into my work, "added ex-Dynamo player.

Recall that Rinat Akhmetov congratulated Dinamo on his jubilee.
