Ex-Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger commented on the current state of affairs in his former club.
This season, Bayern again failed to achieve its main goal in recent years - to win the Champions League. This time the stumbling block for the German team was Madrid Real Madrid, who beat Carlo Ancelotti's team in the quarterfinals of the tournament with a total score of 6: 3.
Despite the recent setbacks in the European arena, Schweinsteiger believes that his former team is still in the top 3 of the best clubs in the world.
"Bavaria does not need a global restructuring," Bastian began..
"For me they are still one of the top three clubs in the world".
"Losing in the Champions League and in the national cup is not easy, I know what players feel at such moments. Nevertheless, Bayern is a big club, and, as for me, they do not need total changes ".
"In the composition of the Munich players are great players, in this respect they are doing well. Sometimes in matches against Real Madrid, Barcelona or Juventus small details decide whether you win, or lose ".
"I'm sure that in the next two or three years, Bayern will win the Champions League again," concluded the midfielder.
Currently, Schweinsteiger is in the US for the team of Chicago Fire, in which Bastian has already scored two goals in 5 games.
