Liverpool officially announced that Centenni Stand will be renamed Kenny Dalglish Stand in recognition of the contribution of the 66-year-old Scotsman to the club.

The decision was made by the leadership of the "reds" led by club owner John Henry.

Dalglish is one of the most iconic figures in the history of Liverpool.

He joined Liverpool in 1977 as a player and won with the "red" 6 championship titles, 3 European Cups, the FA Cup, 4 Football League Cups, 7 England Super Cups and the European Super Cup.

In 1985 he first headed Liverpool, having won on the coaching bridge 3 more league titles, 2 FA Cups and 4 Super Bowl.

In 2011, he temporarily returned to the coaching chair of Liverpool and won the Football League Cup in 2012.

Out of the field, his contribution to the club and the city of Liverpool is simply immeasurable due to the leading role he played after the Hillsborough disaster and the support he and his family have provided over the years to the relatives of the deceased.

In addition, he and his wife, Marina, founded the charitable foundation in 2005, whose goal is to help cancer patients and their families.
