Tottenham's defender Toby Alderweireld does not agree with the contract proposed by the leadership.

The Belgian has twice refused to renew the current agreement with the Spurs, reports The Times.

The defender does not intend to sign a contract, in which there will be no amount of compensation, for which it can be purchased by any interested club.

The current player's agreement with the club expires in the summer of 2018, but Tottenham has the right to extend it for another year. In this case, Alderweideld himself will be able to prescribe in the contract the amount of compensation. Equal to 30 million euros.

This season, the 28-year-old Belgian has played 35 matches in the Spurs in all competitions.
