In a match with Volyn, Yevgeny Cheberko volunteered to shoot a penalty in the 90th minute of the match. The player did not disappoint his team-mates and scored a goal.
"I asked for a penalty. No one objected, I took the ball - and scored. Was somewhere about 90 percent sure that everything will turn out. Penalties and had to beat before, but it was mostly at the youth level, "- said Cheberko on the winning goal.
"To be honest, to replace me is always harder to go out than in the first team. Harder to get into the rhythm of the game. Not yet accustomed to the speed and, no matter how warmed up, you immediately suffocate. It was hard to enter the same game also because Volyn was pressing, running, and we could not get out of defense through a short pass. There was more fighting in the second half, "- admitted the player.
"I think our victory is logical. In the first half we had the full advantage. We had to score and bring the match calmly to the logical conclusion. But they did not score, but then Volyn began to put pressure. They did not have, in fact, moments - just pressed on our gates. So, I think, our victory is deserved ".
"Do I look at the table? No, we just do our job. We want to win in every game - for the fans and for ourselves, "- added Cheberko.
Recall that the Dnieper minimally overcame Volhynia.
