Former coach of Argentina's Diego Maradona believes that without the help of his captain Lionel Messi Albizeleste may not get to the World Cup-2018.

At the moment, the Argentines occupy the fifth place in the standings of the South American region, which does not allow you to directly get to the World Cup, but requires the team to participate in the playoff games. In addition, on the heels of the blue and white comes the national team of Ecuador, which is only two points behind them.

At the same time, team captain Lionel Messi received a four-legged disqualification for insulting the referee, after which in the first duel without his leader, Argentina lost to Bolivia 0: 2.

Ahead of Albiseleste there are three more matches without Messi, and Diego Maradona is afraid that at such a pace the team may not even get to the World Cup in Russia.

"We are the end," Maradona said on Radio Rivadavia.

"Without Messi, qualification for the World Cup is very doubtful".

Ahead of the Argentines fights against Uruguay, Venezuela, Peru and Ecuador.
