Captain Reds Henderson missed the last two games due to a leg injury, while Sturridge first picked up the virus and then injured the thigh.

Both players still have not returned to training, and they are expected to miss a Sunday home game against Burnley.

Sturridge did not qualify for Liverpool's starting line-up from the League Cup against Southampton on January 25, although since then he has twice replaced.

He scored only six goals this season, and the boss of the Reds Juergen Klopp prefers to release as central striker Roberto Firmino.
