Former light heavyweight champion Alexander Gvozdyk (20-2, 16 KOs) admitted that he does not know when he will get into the ring again.
According to the Ukrainian, his fight, which was supposed to take place in February, fell through.
“The question regarding my next fight is very painful, since this is the second time in a row that my fight has been canceled. I will meet with my coach and decide something and move on.
I was supposed to box on February 1st on the undercard of the Morrel - Benavidez fight, but, apparently, this will not happen.
That is, we were not officially told this, but there is little time left before this event, so we can understand that this will not happen."
Gvozdyk said that now he has no information at all, and he also wants to resolve issues with the coaching staff.
" Moreover, I will say that it is unknown who I will work with in the future, because we want to meet and discuss some issues, because not everything suits me,” Gvozdyk said for Sport. ua.
Gvozdyk last fought in June 2024, losing to David Benavidez.
Earlier, Hearn named the only worthy opponent for Usyk.
