Former world champion Mairis Briedis shared his opinion on the fight between IBF heavyweight title holder Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker.
The Latvian believes that the British boxer will be able to defend the championship belt.
" There are always chances. The question is how the preparation will go. If we compare how Parker boxed with Massey and other fighters, and how Dubois boxed, then I would probably give preference to Dubois. He is younger, hungrier, more promising, more impactful. Parker, he's a bit of a drummer and a bit of a techie, it's a combination. And there it’s stupid: “I go, I break and I win”.
How can you defeat a person who does not directly believe in defeat It's hard to beat this. Dubois does not believe in defeat, he believes that he can defeat any of his opponents. I see in a person how he thinks, how he grows. I think he will deal with an opponent like Parker without straining himself,” Briedis said on his YouTube channel.
The Dubois-Parker fight will take place on February 22 in Saudi Arabia..
