Summer of victories Olympic Dreams: Ukrainian athletes won 18 medals at the European Championships and Cups

Participants in international educational? Olympic Dreams training camps continue to confirm the high level of training at the main European competitions. Ukrainian athletes won 5 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze medals at the European Cadet Championships and the European Junior Cups.

A striking success was the European Judo Championship among cadets (U18), which took place at the Grand? Canaries (Spain). The project students received four awards: Khazar Heydarov (up to 60 kg) became the European champion, and Ksenia Kirilchuk (up to 52 kg), Diana Samoiluk (up to 63 kg) and Yana Dovgun (up to 70 kg) became vice? European champions. On the last day of the championship, as part of the mixed team tournament, the Ukrainian cadets won another European silver medal, losing in the final only to the multiple champion - the French team.

At the U21 European Cups, which took place in the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany, Olympic Dreams camp participants received another 10 medals, four of which were gold: Neonila Momot (up to 57 kg), Alexander Martynchuk (up to 66 kg), Lyudmila Voznyuk (up to 70 kg), Ilya Nazarenko (up to 73 kg).

All athletes are participants in the Olympic Dreams international training camps, where they have the opportunity to prepare in safe conditions, train together with the strongest judokas in the world, gain invaluable international experience and improve their skills under the guidance of Ukrainian and foreign coaches.

The initiator and philanthropist of the Olympic Dreams international project, Anatoly Boyko, emphasized that the current success of Ukrainian judokas is a natural result of many years of systematic work:.

“European Championships, European Cups and other international tournaments again prove: even in the most difficult conditions of war, Ukrainian sports youth are able to compete with the strongest. Each medal of our athletes is proof that systemic support, professional work of coaches and the trust of international partners give real results.

This is how we help preserve the future of Ukrainian sports."

The international project Olympic Dreams, which is being implemented by the Charitable Foundation " During this time, 36 international training sessions were held within the framework of the project.? training camps in 14 countries, in which representatives of 13 Olympic sports took part. After participating in the camps, they have already won more than 1,300 medals in national and international competitions.
