In the Aquarium of Xishuangbanna Primitive Forest Park in the Chinese province of Yunnan Zeter attacked a 22-year-old synchronist Maria Zelenin, who worked there the animator. The fish damaged her eyes and pulled the muscles of the neck at the Russian woman.

The incident occurred when the athlete, playing the role of a mermaid, swam in the aquarium among other large fish. Sturgeon, the length of which reached 5 meters, suddenly swallowed her head, torn off his glasses and swallowing the nasal clamp. The girl lost its orientation in the water, but the experience allowed her to get to the surface in time.

After the incident, the oceanarium administrators compensated Mary 700 yuan (~ $ 97) and decided to remove all fish from the aquarium. Despite the injuries, she stated that she was not afraid to continue to work and plans to return to performances.

The aquarium in which the incident occurred is part of a large freshwater complex with fish living in the Mekong and Yangtze rivers. Local authorities tried to hide the details of the incident prohibiting Maria to discuss it, but the video with the sturgeon attack was posted on the Chinese version of Tiktok - Duyin.
