On Sunday, January 26, in the Italian Antholz-Anterselva, in the framework of the sixth stage of the World Cup in the Biathlon season-2024/25, women's relay race took place.

Ukraine in this race was represented by Irina Petrenko, Julia Jim, Anastasia Merkushina and Kristina Dmitrenko.

Petrenko shot cleanly on the first stage, and on the second the Ukrainian had to use two additional cartridges. She entered the race tenth, but managed to win back two positions in her move.

Jim started his segment of the race in eighth. In the prone position, the Ukrainian biathlete completed six shots and passed the standing position with a similar result.

Merkushina accepted the seventh relay. At the first shooting range, the Ukrainian made one mistake, but corrected it on the first attempt, and on the second she also shot with six.

The relay was completed by the Ukrainians Dmitrenko, who entered the distance sixth. The biathlete managed to move her team up one position and performed perfectly in the first shooting range. Having closed the target with six rounds at the second firing line, the Ukrainian was fourth, but eventually finished sixth.

At the moment, for Ukrainian biathletes this result was the best of the season in relay races.

Swedes celebrated victory in the women's relay in Antholz. The second became Norway, and France closed the top three.
