The President of Barcelona decided to use tough methods against players whose contracts expire, writes Diario Sport.

The publication claims that the root cause of such measures was the situation with Frenkie de Jong, whose contract expires in 2026.

The club tried to extend the agreement, but currently negotiations have reached a dead end.

In this regard, the Laporta told the players that the next summer football players with contracts expired in the same season will not be allowed even before training.

Note that the contracts of Pablo Torre, Inaki Pena and Eric Garcia also expire in 2026. However, the club believes that they will not be the same problems as with de yong.

It was also previously reported that Barcelona extended the contract with another player.
