As part of the 22nd round of the Premier League, Arsenal met Aston Villa.

In the first half, the Gunners took the lead quite calmly. Gabriel Martinelli scored the goal at the end of 45 minutes.

Almost immediately after the break, thanks to the efforts of Kai Gaverz, Mikel Arteta's men doubled their lead and it seemed that victory would not escape the hosts, however, Unai Emery's team added, and Arsenal, on the contrary, relaxed.

As a result, Youri Tielemans and Ollie Watkins punished their opponents for their overconfidence with two goals within 10 minutes.

In the end, Arsenal had several incredible opportunities and, in particular, even scored, but the goal, which could have been the winning one, was canceled due to the fact that the ball, before flying into the net, touched the hand of the aforementioned Kai Gavertz.

Arsenal - Aston Villa 2:2 Goals: Martinelli 35, Gavertz 55 - Tielemans 60, Watkins 68.
