Shakhtar head coach Marino Pusic commented on his future as coach of the Ukrainian team.

According to the specialist, he likes the project he is currently working with and has no plans to leave.

“A few clubs have shown interest and I’m pleased to hear about it, but I’m not the kind of person who will just change everything.”. Now I am devoted to the Shakhtar club. It would have been very easy for me to leave after we won the double, I knew that the second year would be more difficult and demanding than the first, but I chose this club with my heart because I am very committed to this project and then I felt that I could not leave the club in.

This project is very interesting, sometimes very difficult, very demanding, but also very good at the same time, and I like such challenges. I believe there is a lot to work on and I want to take further steps with the club to develop players to the highest level and achieve new successes, so I have finally decided to stay. I repeat, as a coach I’m pleased to hear about this, but I’m not the kind of person who will just leave.

Of course, I knew about the situation in Ukraine before I came to the club, but being here and living it, I really felt what it meant. In fact, what is happening in the country is very sad and terrible.. I can only say that, unfortunately, I also experienced this as a little boy in the former Yugoslavia when the war began.

Keep hope, fight to the last, be strong, be brave and love your country with all your heart. Hope that everything will end soon and that we can all live together in normal conditions, that children can grow up in normal conditions, that Ukraine will be one of the most beautiful countries in Europe. I really felt this beauty and the spirit of the people in Ukraine, and I am very grateful for it,” Shakhtar’s official website quotes Pusic as saying..

Earlier it was reported that Shakhtar sold its legionnaire to MLS.
