Ukrainian Dmitry Pidruchny was recognized as the best biathlete following the results of the fourth stage of the 2024/25 World Cup, which took place in Oberhof, Germany. This was reported on the social networks of the International Biathlon Union (IBU). In a vote on the IBU website, 33-year-old Pidruchny received the support of 39% of respondents, which is 7% more than the French Paula Bothe. Also vying for the award were Norwegian Maren Kirkade and Milena Todorova from Bulgaria.. At the stage in Oberhof, the captain of the Ukrainian national team twice got into the flower ceremony.

Dmitry took fourth place in the sprint and finished sixth in the pursuit. Note that Pidruchny is the second Ukrainian who this season was nominated for the title of best biathlete at the World Cup.. Previously, Vitaly Mandzyn was nominated for the title of best biathlete of the first stage of the World Cup in Kontiolahti, Finland, but the award went to Finnish Suvi Minkinen. The next stage of the Biathlon World Cup will take place on January 15-19 in Ruhpolding, Germany..
