On Tuesday, January 14, Bundesliga outsider Holstein Kiel hosted Borussia Dortmund at home.

After the first 20-25 minutes of the match, it was obvious to everyone that the guests had come to win and they were obviously superior to their opponents. But in the 27th minute Holstein opened the scoring after a mistake by Borussia defenders.

And five minutes later the hosts launched one of their rare attacks, which was completed with a precise header by Phil Harres. And at the end of the half, he made an excellent pass into the penalty area, which was completed by Alexander Berngardsson. Holstein managed to turn 22% of possession into three goals in the first!

In the second half, the hosts, inspired by their success, were able to somewhat spoil Borussia's dominance, but there were no chances on both sides. It was only in the 71st minute that Giovanni Reina scored one goal, and in the 77th minute Bayno-Gittens scored the second.

The hosts played out the last ten minutes in the minority, but managed to score a fourth goal and retain victory against a more eminent opponent.
