Former Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky could return to the London club, writes The Guardian.

According to the publication, the Czech ex-football player is the main candidate for this position.

Currently, Rosicky is the sporting director of Slavia, and the Arsenal management is closely monitoring his work in this post.

In addition, Tomas played alongside Mikel Arteta and still maintains friendly relations with the Spaniard.

However, there is a large group in the club’s management that advocates strict selection. If Rosicky passes it, the appointment will take place no earlier than this summer.

In addition, the club is considering Luis Campos from PSG and Phil Giles from Brentford for the position of sporting director..

It was also previously reported that Rashford's agent began negotiations with other clubs.
