The Ukrainian women's hockey team won its group at the 2024 World Championship in Division IIIA.

Yesterday, March 17, in the last round of the tournament, the Ukrainian team defeated the Croatian national team with a score of 6:1.

Note that at the 2024 World Cup, Ukrainian hockey players won five victories in five matches.

The Ukrainians started the competition with victories over Bulgaria (9:1) and Lithuania (3:1). Then in overtime they dealt with Serbia (5:4) and beat Romania (5:1).

Thus, Ukraine finished the tournament in first position, guaranteeing itself a promotion in class. Ukrainian hockey players will hold the next World Cup in Division IIB.

Ukraine will play in this division for the second time in its history. In 2020, the team was demoted after finishing sixth in the tournament.
