The teams of Zinchenko and Shevchenko painted a spectacular draw in a charity match for Ukraine

On Saturday, August 5, a charity match in support of Ukraine took place at the Stamford Bridge stadium in London – Game4Ukraine. It was attended by legends of world football, current and former players of the English Premier League, as well as celebrities: popular musicians, actors and presenters. Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Zinchenko, UNITED24 fundraising platform ambassadors, became captains of the Yellow and Blue teams.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky Pered delivered a speech before the charity match. " Today you will see Ukrainians, hear Ukrainians and be able to help them. Football is a force that unites people. And today we will see that the world is united - united by the teams of Shevchenko and Zinchenko. Great people, great players. Teams Yellow and Blue represent our national flag, one of the most powerful symbols of freedom in history.. And we make it the emblem of rebirth. We can do it together. I thank the United Kingdom for all the support, thank you all for joining our UNITED24 team to help protect freedom and restore normalcy. Glory to Ukraine,"

After Zelensky’s words, all those present paid tribute to the memory of those killed as a result of Russian aggression. The match itself ended in a draw - 2:2. In the 38th minute, Mark Noble scored for Zinchenko's team, but already three minutes later Clarence Seedorf scored with a magnificent blow to the far "

In the second half, the teams exchanged goals again..

In the 53rd minute, the Yellows were put ahead by Darijo Srna, but William Gallas answered for Shevchenko's team in the 78th minute, setting the final score of the game.

It should be noted that at the 24th minute the match was suspended so that the filled stadium and all the participants of the fight gave a standing ovation to those who fight for the freedom of Ukraine.

Recall that the funds collected during the charity match will be used to restore the Mykhailo-Kotsyubinsk lyceum in the Chernihiv region, destroyed by the invaders in March 2022.
