British heavyweight boxer Daniel Dubois commented on the upcoming fight with WBO, WBA, IBO and IBF world champion Oleksandr Usyk. The contender for the champion titles of the Ukrainian said he intends to win the fight by knockout. “In my opinion, in the first fight, Joshua was too careful against Usyk. You have to be rough with Alexander, it's no secret. You can’t stand with the barrel and try to outbox him, you need to pound the Ukrainian. Of course, I need to knock him out and do it in Poland, on the away court.. It must be something amazing, I want an exceptional win. I don’t want to win on points, I want to win completely,” Dubois was quoted as saying by Boxing Social.
Usyk vs Dubois fight will take place on August 26 in Wroclaw, Poland. All championship belts owned by the Ukrainian will be at stake. The 36-year-old Usyk has 20 wins (13 by knockout) in 20 fights. He held four of them in the heavyweight division.. Before that, Alexander became the absolute world champion in the cruiserweight (weight category up to 90.7 kg), having won all four of the most prestigious belts there.. The 25-year-old Dubois has 19 wins (18 by knockout) and the only loss in November 2020 from his compatriot Joe Joyce.
