On the morning of May 21 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Ukrainian boxer Vasily Lomachenko (18-3, 11 KOs) fought against the undisputed world lightweight champion Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs).

The boxers had an equal and close fight, in which, according to the sensations, the Ukrainian looked a little more active and better. Lomachenko hit more and tried to box first. Haney tried to hit the body more and work in defense.

The fight lasted all 12 rounds, and according to its results, all the judges preferred the American champion - 116–112, 115–113, 115–113.

Thus, Lomachenko suffered his third defeat in the pro ring, and Haney retained all his WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight championship belts..

Note that 35-year-old Lomachenko already owned championship belts, but lost them after losing to Teofimo Lopez in 2020..
