In the same year, a training meeting was successfully organized for the preparation of national teams of Ukraine abroad, and then participation in international competitions, where the U19 women's team entered the top 10 winners of the World Championship. Now, as the President of the Water Polo Federation of Ukraine, Oleksandr is doing everything possible to ensure that the water polo community, even under martial law, has the proper conditions for training. From the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Alexander Svishchev organized a safe haven for Ukrainian leading athletes who were forced to leave their homes in the zone of active hostilities, negotiated with foreign water polo federations and organized free stay for athletes abroad: in the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania. In total, more than 160 children and boys and girls managed to arrange abroad. Volunteering has been a daily routine for Alexander for more than a year. With his participation, 13 hospitals in different cities of Ukraine received modern blood analyzers, in particular, one of them is now working in a mobile hospital at the forefront. Alexander Svishchev handed over military equipment, Starlinks, charging stations, cars, drones to servicemen. IDP accommodation centers and humanitarian headquarters in Lviv received food, necessary household items, medicines, hygiene products, etc..
With the assistance of Oleksandr Svishchev, at a charity event in Lviv, the townspeople equipped the Alley of Memory and installed a memorial plaque in honor of the deceased hero of Ukraine Taras Zherebetsky.
“We must, with great gratitude, each in his place, do everything possible for the sake of the Ukrainian victory.. That is why we build, teach and develop. The main thing is not to forget that the peaceful sky above our heads is kept by the Armed Forces of Ukraine!
