The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) announced that the prosecutor's office had filed a petition with the court to remove the president of the organization, Andriy Pavelko, and the general secretary, Yuriy Zapisotsky, from office for two months..

The UAF posted a statement on its Facebook page:.

" Today, the prosecutor's office filed a petition with the court to remove the president and general secretary of the UAF from their posts for two months..

Such a request is not only unreasonable, but is a direct interference in the activities of a public organization in the understanding of the rules established in the FIFA and UEFA statutes..

FIFA and UEFA, which have already been informed of another violation, previously stated in a joint letter about the risks of state interference, including law enforcement agencies, in the activities of the UAF.

According to the letter, continued interference in the affairs of the Association will lead to the suspension of the UAF membership in these international associations, and in the future to exclusion from FIFA and UEFA.

The UAF will challenge all unlawful decisions, both in Ukrainian courts and in international instances, in particular, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), where claims from the leadership of the UAF have already been sent"
